Introducing... Manga Man 1.1!

With the alotted time I give myself I didn't get as far as I would have liked. Still, I learned something. I took it for granted all of this time, but its amazing how a bunch of purposefully arranged lines can make you think you see something else entirely. I'm beginning to appreciate how optical illusions work. Talk about the whole being greater than the sum of its parts.

As Promised...

This time I decided to do two or three figure sketches. The sketches were done quickly to maximize the little time I had.

Looking at this I had better start using darker pencil

Nothing Today

But there will be something tomorrow! I know, I know, one week in and I've neglected my own self-imposed update schedule. Unforgivable! I'd wonder how the people who do this regularly find time to do it but that isn't necessary. They just do.

Gotta Start Somewhere...

A few months I was at an art gallery where people were showing off their diverse art skills. The theme was Tarot Cards. I was amazed by the talent on display. I've admired artwork for a long time (particularly comic books and manga) and decided that I was going to do some drawing of my own. Do my own commissions as it were. So I decided that I was going to teach myself how to draw. This blog will commemorate my progress as I learn stroke a pencil across paper.
